CBF puts children in the the Spotlight with the Festival of Chichester

Ticketed events are a key part of how we raise funds to buy thousands of books a year for children in Chichester and Bognor. And this year, as well as some stand-out events for grown-ups, we also have four, yes, you heard us, FOUR, events for children, all under the umbrella of the Festival of Chichester!

Firstly, on Sunday 22nd June 2025 we have two events at the marvellous Chichester Free School, whose support for CBF over the years has been unfailing and is hugely appreciated.

Supertato Silliness with Paul Linnet

Join Paul Linnet co-creator of the bestselling Supertato picture books, in a riotous celebration of everyone’s favourite supermarket superhero! In a session that guarantees stories, silliness, songs and giggles galore, don’t miss this veggie adventure for all the family.

Maz Evans’ World of Adventures

Embark on a madcap journey from the Maya Underworld, through Ancient Egypt and all the way to Camelot to find Excalibur and save the world. Join in the fun and games and discover ancient myths and Arthurian legend in this hilarious, energetic show. Fire up your imagination and find the fun in reading!

Then on Saturday 19th July we have two fabulous events in two fantastic locations, The Prebendal School and Chichester Cathedral, whose generosity will help us towards our fundraising goal.

Draw-Off with Sophy Henn and Nadia Shireen

Come and watch the marvellous Sophy Henn and Nadia Shireen go head to head in this family-friendly DRAW-OFF! And why not join in? We’ll provide paper and pens and will be asking for audience suggestions to challenge our scribbling superstars on the stage.

Joseph Elliott and The Adventures of Nora

Joseph Elliott, famed for his role as Cook in the CBeebies series Swashbuckle and his beautiful Shadow Skye series, will be talking about his latest book, Nora and the Compass of Chaos! If you like funny books written by brilliant people, this one's for you.

In partnership with the Cathedral and part of the programme of 950 celebrations.
